I think this is pretty sweet! I came across this from Cycling News the other day. It's called The Big Green Bus! It's basically an old school bus that is being converted to run off used vegetable oil! Which is in abundance from various fast food restaurants! Talk about cheap gas! Not to mention it saves the restaurants money as well since they don't have to pay to dispose of it. There's even a sweet diagram for those of you who are interested on how it works. I know there's a band that has converted a bus the same way ... Tim I'm sure knows the band name but I can't recall.... my bike still gets better gas mileage though! ;-)

Actually, there are tons of musicians that run biodiesel buses, most notably Willie Nelson and Cheryl Crow. In fact, there was a biodiesel bus that parked on the UNI campus in front of Maucker Union for a day while passing through. They were just a couple kids that converted their bus and drove around talking about it. They said they'd earned a bit of cash taxiing people back and forth to the Burning Man festival this last year. :)
Good call, Erik! The one I was thinking of is a hardcore band, but I still can't remember who! Wait 'till you read my next post about the comments on my blog ... DUH!
